Aviation has always been an important part of Ray Fogg Sr.’s life ever since he served as a base engineer in the U.S. Air Force. He has remained a pilot and owned aircraft since then. Beginning in the 1970’s, when he personally flew medical and food relief to Central America, Ray has always looked for charitable opportunities to utilize his time and aircraft to help others. Ray now allows his good friend, Jim Kroupa, to fly his airplane for Angel Flights, a great charity program utilizing volunteer general aviation pilots to transport patients for medical treatments at no cost to the patient. As a result of his dedication, and with the financial support of Ray Fogg, Jim Kroupa was recognized as the Angel Flights Pilot of the Year for the State of Ohio in 2006.
